Report: Leeds open talks to sign Noa Lang
Leeds United have reportedly held talks as they consider a potential summer move for Noa Lang, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Lang is on the Whites’ radar after an outstanding year in Belgium. He helped Club Brugge win the title, finishing as their top goalscorer.
The 21-year-old scored 17 goals in all competitions, while he also contributed 11 assists this term.
The Daily Mail notes that Brugge have the option to make his loan from Ajax permanent for around £5 million. However, they could end look to sell him on immediately for a hefty profit.
The Telegraph recently reported that he was being valued at around £20 million. It should be noted that they also claimed that he had already agreed a contract in Belgium.
But the Mail is now suggesting that talks with Leeds have been held.
On the pitch, Lang looks to be a player that Bielsa would welcome the chance to work with.
The youngster can play across the forward line. And of course, he is still developing, so there is scope for Lang to improve considerably.
The Daily Mail notes however, that his attitude caused him some problems with Ajax.
So it is interesting to see Leeds so heavily linked. Marcelo Bielsa’s men appear to have an amazing team-ethic, so signing a player like Lang may be deemed a gamble by some.
