Leeds will need to find £10m if they wish to sign Nottingham Forest starlet, Brennan Johnson, this summer, with Burnley also said to be interested.
That is according to The Athletic, who ran a piece on Johnson this week where it was claimed Forest value the youngster at around the £10m mark. Johnson has two years left to run on his current contract at the City Ground.
Back in January, The Athletic broke the news that Leeds were indeed interested in Johnson. Of course, no move ever materialised and Johnson has remained in Nottingham, albeit with an increasing reputation.

Burnley’s interest is fresh, while Leeds could also face a fight from Brentford as well.
Johnson has made a big impression while on loan at Lincoln City this season. He’s hit double figures in terms of goals, and has seen growing calls for Forest to ensure he’s given a chance next season in the first-team.
Whether the Reds can keep hold of him, however, remains to be seen. Leeds will be looking to improve after cementing their PL status, while Burnley have once again secured their place in the top flight.
TBR View: Johnson a better Tyler Roberts for Leeds?
The potential is certainly there for Johnson to succeed someone like Roberts at Elland Road. His style of play, knack of getting goals, and his ability to create as well are all eye-catching traits.
A season in the Championship would probably do him good though. Ideally, Leeds would sort a deal out and allow him to remain at Forest, where he could gain valuable experience.
But regardless, Johnson is a top talent who seems destined for the PL one way or another. At £10m, he might just prove a snip for the Whites.
