Leeds United have confirmed their interest in Josko Gvardiol, with Croatian outlet 24 Sata reporting that the Whites have made a £17.8 million bid for the defender.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Marcelo Bielsa’s side had opened talks with Dinamo Zagreb regarding a potential move for the 18-year-old.

And it now appears that Leeds have stepped up their interest. 24 Sata has claimed that the Premier League side have made a £17.8 million offer.
It is suggested that Dinamo are yet to reject the offer. In fact, 24 Sata notes that his value is unlikely to increase while he is still playing in Croatia, and thus, his side have been left with a tough decision to make.

TBR View: Gvardiol could be incredibly exciting roll of dice from Leeds
Signing Gvardiol for an eight-figure would be a gamble for Leeds. He has only made a handful of appearances in senior football.
However, the signs suggest that the teenager could be a seriously special player in the future. He looks confident on the ball, and is certainly not afraid to drive forward out of the back line in a way that may evoke memories of Ben White for supporters should he end up at Elland Road.
He is also a very exciting passer of the ball. Gvardiol does not hesitate when it comes to taking on an ambitious pass.
Leeds will be well aware of the risks attached to making such a move. So it is a huge statement that the Whites have reportedly made such a large bid.
