Leeds United may have a better idea regarding Rodrigo De Paul’s plans imminently, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting that the midfielder’s agent is expected in Italy in the next few days amid speculation over his future.

The Telegraph reported at the weekend that Leeds are interested in De Paul. It was suggested that the Udinese star was set to cost at least £25 million.

The report noted that the 26-year-old is Marcelo Bielsa’s top midfield target heading into the final month of the summer transfer window.

However, it would appear that Leeds are not going to face an easy ride trying to secure his signature.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Fiorentina, Napoli and AC Milan all want De Paul.

The Italian outlet also notes that the midfielder’s agent is expected to arrive to Italy at the start of next week to discuss his future.

TBR View: Leeds will welcome quick resolution whether successful or not

Leeds seemingly face some fierce competition for De Paul. So they will be hoping that his future is resolved sooner rather than later.

Of course, it would be fantastic for the Whites to win the race. De Paul is a superb attacking midfielder who scored seven goals and provided six assists last season.

But if they are going to miss out, they will want to move on to the next name on their list as soon as possible.

And it would appear that they may not need to wait too long to have a better idea of where they stand.
