Leeds United have been linked with Todd Cantwell in recent weeks but it looks as though they won’t be signing him before the domestic transfer window shuts, according to Sky Sports.
The Norwich midfielder had reportedly emerged as a potential target for the Whites, with EFL players still able to move to Premier League clubs until the October 16 deadline.
A report from The Telegraph last month claimed that Leeds had opened talks over Cantwell, who has emerged as one of the Canaries’ many brightest homegrown talents in recent years.

The 22-year-old impressed with his technical quality and vision, and has been expected to seal an exit from Carrow Road after proving himself in the top flight.
However, Sky Sports claims that Cantwell is now expected to remain at Norwich beyond Friday’s domestic transfer deadline, adding that no formal offer has been received for the player.
Cantwell scored seven goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for the Canaries last season and earned many plaudits despite the club finishing bottom of the league.
The £15million-rated ace has made two Championship appearances so far this season, with Norwich in 17th place in the table after their opening four games of the campaign.

Cantwell certainly proved himself in the Premier League, and given his young age, there’s plenty to work with.
Alan Shearer praised the youngster on Match of the Day (via Pinkun) for his display against Everton in November.
“His performance had everything, we spoke tonight about work rate and everything else, look at this, the desire to get back (showing Cantwell tracking back),” he said.
“And he wasn’t finished there, he gets the ball back and sprays it across to the other side of the pitch, then he tries to get on the end of it in the box. He doesn’t get it but it just highlights his overall performance.”
However, with Norwich having lost several key players to top-flight clubs this summer, they would surely have been keen to keep as many of the remaining crown jewels as possible.
Besides, Cantwell recently posted a story on Instagram saying “I love my club, we rise together”, so that seemingly made it clear where he sees his future.
