Tyler Roberts is one of the players Leeds United are likely to open contract talks with at the end of the season, according to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post.
With safety comfortably secured, thoughts are now turning to Leeds’s summer plans after a fantastic first year back in the Premier League.

A number of players have taken pressure off Victor Orta by proving that they are more than good enough for the highest level.
And it appears that one of those who may have proved a point is Roberts.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the Wales international’s contract at Elland Road expires in 2022.

It has been a turbulent campaign for the 22-year-old. There have been times when he has really struggled to make any sort of impression on games.
But he has enjoyed a much better run in the side of late. And it seems that he has impressed the decision-makers at Leeds.
The YEP has suggested that contract talks with Roberts are likely to start in the summer.
TBR View: Leeds right to consider extending Roberts’s contract
Roberts can be a divisive figure amongst the Leeds fanbase. And it would be wrong to overlook the fact that he has not scored and only provided two assists in the top flight this season.
But on his day, he looks an outstanding talent. He was superb in the first-half against Spurs at the weekend.
He only turned 22 at the start of the year. So there is room for Roberts to get considerably better in the coming years.
In an ideal world, Leeds would probably be able to take longer to make a decision on his future. But with his deal expiring next summer, it looks a smart move for the Whites to target talks in the coming months.
