According to reports in Croatia, Leeds United have started the bidding for Ivan Sunjic. Sportske Novosti report that Leeds have launched a €4m (£3.5m) bid for Dinamo Zagreb star Sunjic.
But Dinamo Zagreb will not accept a bid that low for their star man. Sunjic is a key player for the Croatian heavyweights and has a mammoth contract until summer 2024.
Leeds are still pursuing the Croatia U21 international, who has one senior cap to his name. Despite his young age, the 22-year-old already has over 100 senior games to his name.

Before Dinamo Zagreb signed him, he played for city rivals Lokomotiv Moscow, playing over 70 games. This has attracted attention from Leeds, although their current bid is below Dinamo Zagreb’s valuation.
TBR’s view
With doom and gloom surrounding the club at the moment, Leeds fans will be desperate for some positive transfer news. Key players like Kalvin Phillips, Kemar Roofe and Pontus Jansson are being linked with exits this summer.
But Sunjic would be an exciting addition if Leeds win the race for him. Acting as a defensive midfielder, Sunjic would either be a replacement for Phillips or a partner for him.
Marcelo Bielsa could squeeze the best out of the young Croatian star. However, he will cost more money and Leeds will need to convince him to play in the second tier of English football.
