Leeds United are planning to reward Kalvin Phillips for his fine first year at the highest level with club and country by offering the midfielder a new contract, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Phillips has remained a standout performer for the Whites following promotion. And he now looks to be well on his way towards securing a spot in the England squad at Euro 2020.

The 25-year-old is under contract at Elland Road until 2024 after signing a five-year deal in 2019 (via club’s official website).
But according to The Telegraph, Leeds want to agree fresh terms with Phillips, as well as teammate Patrick Bamford.

TBR View: New Phillips contract would another positive step from Leeds
It has been a fantastic season for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. And tying Phillips down for what should be the peak years of his career would see them take another step in the right direction.
Phillips has been a revelation throughout Bielsa’s tenure. He has now established himself as one of England’s finest midfielders.
Leeds have not yet found a way to play consistently well when Phillips is unavailable. Their struggles without him highlights just how pivotal he is to their fortunes.
So ensuring that he is set to be around well beyond 2024 surely makes a lot of sense.
