Leeds United are one of the teams interested in signing West Bromwich Albion youngster Rayhaan Tulloch, but they face competition from a number of Premier League sides, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Tulloch is attracting attention after a fine start to the season for the Baggies’ under-23s. He has scored four goals in nine appearances for the youngsters. And he now has a long list of admirers.
The Daily Mail reports that Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Southampton and Newcastle United are interested in offering him the chance to move to the top flight.
Meanwhile, the Whites – West Brom’s closest rivals in the Championship table – have also reportedly taken a look. Stoke City, Wigan Athletic and Sunderland have also been monitoring the teenager, who turns 19 next month.
It is suggested by the Mail that the Black Cats’ interest may lead to a loan bid in January. But the Mail also speculates that the forward could consider his future in the summer should he find himself too far down the pecking order at the Hawthorns.
TBR View – Could Leeds tempt Tulloch away from Baggies?
The large majority of Leeds’s signings since Victor Orta arrived at Elland Road have been young players. So it is not a huge surprise to see the Whites named amongst Tulloch’s admirers.
It will surely not be easy to land the striker. There looks set to be some exciting opportunities on the table, and it is difficult to imagine West Brom making it simple.
If Tulloch does decide he needs to move away, he would be forgiven for being tempted by Leeds. Marcelo Bielsa has opened the door and put faith in a number of young players.
It must be noted that there are also youngsters with prominent roles in Slaven Bilic’s squad. But perhaps Leeds may be hoping that they may be able to lure one of the club’s brightest prospects away almost two years after convincing Tyler Roberts to make the same move.
