Leeds United have reportedly been joined by Galatasaray in the transfer race to try sign Newcastle United’s Jacob Murphy this summer.
Galatasaray, who finished second in the Turkish league this season, are apparently in pursuit.
According to the Sun, Galatasaray have registered their interest in Murphy.
They are now chasing him alongside English clubs Southampton, Leeds, Burnley and Watford. Additionally, European duo Porto and Bayer Leverkusen are admirers.
Newcastle though reportedly want to try secure Murphy’s future with a new contract, as his current deal expires next summer.

Jacob Murphy a decent target for Leeds this summer
If Murphy is available for a reasonable price, he could be a good squad option for Leeds. The Englishman is a £12million speedster with amazing pace, plus he’s got stamina to run for 90 minutes.
The 26-year-old may suit the football at Elland Road because of his versatility. For example, he’s been seen as both a winger, wing-back and full-back during stages of this season.
Whether or not Leeds will ramp up their interest remains to be seen. However, they should be an extremely attractive option for teams.
There is a group of honest players at Leeds who gel so well together without too many superstar names.
