Report: Leeds in 'front row' for 'complete' £30m player, but another club now in talks
Leeds United have been heavily linked with Charles De Ketelaere in recent days.
However, it looks as though the Whites’ pursuit of the Club Brugge star isn’t quite going to plan.
According to a report from HLN, De Ketelaere wants to join AC Milan over Leeds.
And now, Calciomercato has spoken of the Rossoneri’s intense pursuit of the player amid interest from the Whites.
The Italian outlet claims De Ketelaere has several Premier League clubs after him, with Leeds in ‘front row’.
However, the 21-year-old has ‘expressed his total preference’ for Milan.
And while the likes of Leeds may be financially stronger than Milan, the Italian champions have the ‘right cards’ to play.
Namely, a player-plus-cash deal involving one of two Rossoneri youngsters, Andreas Jungdal and Emil Roback.
‘Pushing forward with confidence, the Devils are convinced they can close the De Ketelaere operation,’ concluded Calciomercato.

Not the most promising reports relating to Leeds and De Tekelaere, it has to be said.
The Whites are right to pursue the player, a “complete” attacker and one of the best youngsters in the game right now.
And according to HLN, they satisfied Brugge with a £30million offer.
Nonetheless, if the player himself would rather join a title-winning team set for the Champions League, there’s sadly not much Leeds can do at this stage.
However, the transfer window is a long way from closing. So the Leeds hierarchy and coaches have plenty of time to find someone else.
And of course, that’s not to say there won’t be any more twists in this saga. Like the Sven Botman to Newcastle one which also featured Milan.
