Report: Leeds have now agreed terms to sign 21-year-old... but there's a big problem
Leeds United have suffered a transfer blow with Conor Gallagher set to join Crystal Palace instead of them, TeamTalk report.
Agreeing terms
Leeds have been heavily linked with the Chelsea youngster, and the latest update suggests that they even went as far as agreeing terms with Chelsea for the midfielder.
Leeds wanted to take Gallagher on loan for the season, but the 21-year-old has ultimately decided to join Palace instead.
The Eagles have made some impressive signings so far this summer, and Patrick Vieira’s project seems to have attracted Gallagher.

That may come as a surprise given Leeds finished above Palace last term.
But with Marcelo Bielsa often reluctant to throw new signings straight in, the promise of more regular football at Palace may have played a part in the combative midfielder’s decision.
The search continues?
Leeds may well be disappointed at missing out on Gallagher, as he could have been an excellent addition to their side.
Gallagher possesses the energy and technical ability which would have allowed him to thrive in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
But Leeds’ search for a central midfielder looks set to continue, with Palace winning the race for the Chelsea man now.
