Spanish newspaper claim Sevilla are battling Premier League clubs Leeds United and Leicester City for midfielder Orkun Kokcu this summer, with the Turkey international impressing at Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord.

Despite being just 20 years of age, Kokcu has emerged as one of the best talents in Dutch football having already clocked up 70 senior appearances for the Dutch side – having a hand in 21 goals during that time. Scoring nine, he has created 12.

Sevilla want to sign Kokcu, as they look to strenghthen their side and go again – having reached the last 16 of the Champions League before losing to Dortmund over two legs. But Julian Lopetegui’s side are not the only club interested.

Indeed, the report claims that Kokcu is interesting both Leeds and Leicester City as well as Sevilla – with his asking price set at £10.25million. The price tag is low, despite the player having four years left on his Feyenoord contract.

TBR’s view – Kokcu a bargain at £10m

Leeds need a midfielder, a long-term repalacement for Mateusz Klich who has shown signs that he is beginning to tire. A midfielder that can score goals and assisst – and Kokcu is seemingly perfect, especially at just £10million.

Leeds must move heaven and earth to get the deal done but they face hefty competition from Leicester and Sevilla – both of whom are in the mix to finish in the top four of England and Spain, and could have Champions League football to offer.
