Turkish website Miliyet have claimed that Leeds United have seen a contract offer rejected by Gjanni Alioski despite the left-footed ace being out of contract at the end of the summer – with Galatasaray being linked with the North Macedonia ace.
Alioski, 29, is set to see his current Leeds contract in the summer. He will enter the European Championships as a Leeds player but midway through the tournament, he will become a free agent – but Leeds have seemingly tried to change that.
Remaining a crucial player at Elland Road, the former Lugano man has clocked 27 appearances for Leeds this season and 160 in total since moving to Elland Road in 2017. But Galatasaray are interested in the 39-time international.
Now, the report claims Alioski has decided to turn down the chance to remain at Elland Road this summer. A move could now be on the cards, but it is unclear how reliable the reports are from Miliyet, with nothing confirmed on these shores.

TBR’s view – Losing Alioski is a blow, but not the end of the world
Alioski is a top player, and while he might not be good enough to start for Leeds – he is certainly a crucial part of the side and offers versatility from the bench, being able to play at left-back and left wing. Leeds have recognised that, if the report is believed.
But Alioski needs to leave. He is not a starting player and the left-back position is an area where Leeds are likely to strengthen in the summer – Brest left-footer Romain Perraud is being linked. Alioski is a good option, but he can be replaced.
