Report: Lazio have no intention of selling apparent Everton transfer target Ciro Immobile
Everton have recently been linked with a move for Ciro Immobile. It has been reported by 90min that Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti would like the Toffees to bring the Italian to Goodison Park from Lazio this summer.
It would undoubtedly be an eye-catching piece of business from Everton, with a potential fee of £50 million being needed to secure his signature.
Immobile scored his 38th goal of the season yesterday, his 35th in Serie A, as he continues a stellar campaign with the Serie A side.
Everton need a ruthless striker and the 30-year-old would appear to fill that bracket. However, it appears to be a transfer that Everton fans can forget about.
According to Tuttosport, both Lazio and Immobile have no interest in doing a deal with Everton this summer.
They claim that Lazio will not consider selling Immobile this summer whilst the player is also said to be happy at the Stadio Olimpico and in Italy.
Everton are clearly looking to add some serious quality to Ancelotti’s side, with the Italian said to want Champions League calibre players at the club.
However, Immobile does not seem like a viable target for the Toffees and a new striker option needs to be considered.
