Valencia have joined the race to sign Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez, according to Cope Radio.
The Spaniard’s stock is high at the moment having enjoyed a brilliant 2018/19 in which he scored 13 goals.
With four assists as well, it was the former Tenerife player’s most productive season in front of goal to date.

His form has seemingly caught the attention of a number of clubs around Europe in recent weeks, with the likes of Napoli, Real Sociedad and Arsenal having all been mentioned.
Now Cope claim Valencia are plotting a bid for Perez, and that initial contact has been made with the player’s agent.
Apparently, Perez is ‘delighted’ at the prospect of the transfer and has told friends he is open to the switch.
TBR’s view
Interest in Perez seems to be the highest it’s ever been.
Newcastle could face real difficulty keeping hold of him now, with Valencia having secured Champions League football for next term.

It is understood Perez is desperate to make his mark with the Spanish national team, and he feels a move to La Liga would help him realise his ambitions.
The player has already talked up a move back to his homeland, so perhaps Newcastle need to focus on squeezing as much as they possibly can out of Valencia at this point.
