Report: Liverpool and Tottenham set to be gazumped by Juventus for goal machine
Juventus are set to shellshock Liverpool and Tottenham by entering the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic, according to Tuttosport.
Furthermore, it would seem as though the 21-year-old goal machine would be keen to head to Turin.
Both Tottenham and Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Fiorentina star and this won’t come as great news.
Vlahovic has burst onto the scene in the last couple of years. During 2020/21 he found the net 21 times and he already has 10 goals during the current campaign.
The youngster won’t extend his deal at Fiorentina beyond 2023. As a result, the Serie A outfit are keen to sell him in the next transfer window.
Signing Vlahovic won’t come cheap for whoever wants to sign him. It is thought that his current club values him at the £70 million mark.
Although his contract is up in just over a year, Fiorentina will still want to stand relatively firm over their price tag.
Vlahovic signed for the Italian side in 2018 and he’s netted 39 times in 96 appearances for his current club.
Given that he’s only 21, he has years left ahead of him and one plus for Juventus is that he knows the league inside out.
Future star: Tottenham and Liverpool must act fast over Vlahovic
Both Premier League clubs could be powerless if Vlahovic has his heart set on joining Juventus. The former champions will have considerable clout and heading there would let him stay in a league he knows well.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham are in the position where they could do with a striker in the coming transfer windows, however, and they must act fast.
Liverpool have Roberto Firmino who is approaching his thirties, whilst Harry Kane’s future remains in doubt at Tottenham.
Both clubs looks to be facing a losing battle to sign Vlahovic and if they are keen to sign him, they’ll need to move quickly.
