Juventus want to sign Emi Martinez and are ready to offer Weston McKennie to Aston Villa in a bid to sign the goalkeeper, according to a report from Calciomercatoweb.
Juve are fearful of losing Wojciech Szczesny next summer, when his contract with the Old Lady will have just one year left to run.

Szczesny has been superb of late, for club and country. And with that, Juventus are setting their sights on Martinez as his potential replacement.
Juventus want Emi Martinez – and could offer Weston McKennie in swap
Martinez has been outstanding for the Villans since his £17 million move. And he is now two games away from winning the World Cup with Argentina. He was his country’s hero in the previous round, saving two spot-kicks from the Netherlands.

Certainly, Villa will surely be braced for plenty of interest in the goalkeeper. And it has been claimed in Italy that an offer may soon be on its way.
According to Calciomercatoweb, Juventus are ready to offer McKennie in a swap deal for Martinez. It is claimed that both players are valued at around £22.5 million (€26 million). So it would appear that the Serie A giants may be hoping that that covers the majority of the fee.
Swap bid reports make so little sense
Aston Villa fans will be absolutely baffled at the idea of letting Martinez go in such a manner.
Admittedly, the Villans are seemingly admirers of McKennie, who has been labelled ‘extraordinary‘. Calciomercato recently reported that they have previously been turned down in their pursuit of the USMNT international.
However, Martinez is one of the very best goalkeepers in the world right now. And he may return to Villa Park with a World Cup winner’s medal later this month.
So it seems completely bizarre to suggest that he would be valued at anything less than £50 million, let alone £25 million.
Juventus may well make a big play for Martinez in the coming windows. But they are surely going to have to work a lot harder to get him.
