Tottenham face another blow, this time in the transfer market, as Juventus now want to beat them to the signing of Dusan Vlahovic.
Italy24News make the claim, suggesting that Juventus are ‘pressing ahead’ with the signing of Vlahovic from Fiorentina.
It comes in the wake of reports this week that suggested Tottenham were in pole position to sign him. As covered on TBR, it was claimed Vlahovic was a key priority for Spurs, and that talks had already started.

However, news of Juve’s intrusion will worry the club. Yet again, they don’t have a manager, while missing out on Vlahovic could be an early own goal for new supremo, Fabio Paratici.
The Italian is hoping to make a splash in the transfer market. After being appointed by Daniel Levy, he’ll be hoping to use his contacts in Italy to land some talent.
Vlahovic certainly fits the profile for Spurs. At 21, he’s a young player with plenty to offer already. His 21 goals last season showed he is already at a level which should be good enough for the Premier League.
It’s suggested Vlahovic will cost in and around the £50m mark. Whether Daniel Levy will sanction such signings without a manager in place, remains to be seen.
Juventus, then, could well just nip in here.
Juventus a tempting move ahead of Tottenham for Vlahovic
Moving to Juventus is always tempting for any player already in Serie A. They might have missed out on the title last season, but they still hold the prestige and lure of old.
For Tottenham, missing out on Vlahovic is just another blow in what has been a shambolic summer thus far.
Spurs fans won’t be surprised though. Daniel Levy has made a real hash of bringing a new manager in, so new players are even less likely.
