Italian website CalcioMercato24 have claimed that Juventus could allow Douglas Costa to move to Leeds United in the summer if the Premier League side are interested – but only as part of a swap deal.
Costa, 30, is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Juventus and while he has 18 months remaining on his current Juve deal – he is clearly surplus to requirements under Andrea Pirlo. He is expected to leave this summer.
Leeds have been linked with the Brazilian speed machine, with Premier League safety all but assured. However, the latest reports from CM24 claim that Leeds might have to let Rodrigo go – if they are to sign Costa.
Juve are said to be keen on a move for Rodrigo, and will only allow Costa to move to England if they can have Spain international Rodrigo in return. The Old Lady rate Costa at £21.5million – a figure similar to that of Rodrigo.

TBR’s view – Is getting Costa for Rodrigo a good deal?
Clearly, Rodrigo has not been as good as Leeds might have been hoping. The Spain number nine should not be judged on his goals, especially as he is playing in attacking midfielder rather than up front.
But he only has three goals and one assist in 18 Premier League games. Yes, he is adapting and a relationship with Raphinha is improving, but numerous injuries and a positive test have prevented him from gaining momentum.
If Leeds have the chance to swap £58,000-a-week attacker (Spotrac) Rodrigo for Costa, they should take it.
