Italian website JuventusNews24 have claimed that both Andrea Pirlo’s side and Inter Milan have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sampdoria midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard – with the wonderkid’s asking price set at just £17.5million.
Damsgaard, 20, has starred for Sampdoria this season. Coming in to the Serie A outfit’s side this season, the one-time Denmark international has had a hand in six goals during 22 league and cup appearances – despite starting just 10 of those 22.

TBR’s view – Damsgaard is a real talent
At £17.5million, he is good value for a player that offers cover in numerous positions and has already shown top-flight quality in terms of being able to score goals and create. His potential and versatility makes him a bargain at that figure.
He can be a proper player and therefore, for Spurs, Inter or Juve, he would be a good signing. Which club would he prefer to join? Spurs is a good option, and Jose Mourinho has shown he will place faith in youngsters. Can Juve or Inter say the same?
