Arsenal have reportedly pulled the plug on any potential swap deal involving Justin Kluivert and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Calciomercato reported at the end of May that Arsenal had expressed an interest in Kluivert and the idea of Mkhitaryan being swapped was floated by the Serie A side.
Il Messagero is reporting that the potentially eye-catching deal involving two Mino Raiola clients has collapsed due to Roma’s demands regarding the transfer.
It is claimed the Italian side also wanted €20 million (£18m), on top of the Armenian creator, to make a deal happen.

Arsenal have vetoed that possibility and it seems that Kluivert will not be on his way to The Emirates Stadium.
Roma are still expected to try and secure a permanent deal for Mkhitaryan, who has been on loan with the Giallorossi throughout the 2019-20 campaign.
A recent report from The Mirror claimed that Arsenal would accept an offer in the region of £10 million for the player, suggesting Roma valued Kluivert at £28 million. Arsenal, seemingly, were after a more straightforward swap deal.
The two clubs will now have to go back to the drawing board to thrash out a deal that is for the best for all parties involved.
