Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has nearly a full compliment of players to work with ahead of the Premier League restarting.

Just seven of his squad travelled to Qatar for the World Cup, and Darwin Nunez has already been eliminated.

A report from The Athletic has outlined Klopp’s plans as they prepare to return to action.

The squad will be heading out to Dubai on Monday, with a couple of friendlies to work towards.

Liverpool will play Lyon and AC Milan before facing Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on December 22nd.

With just a few of Liverpool’s first-team unavailable, Klopp won’t need to rely too heavily on the academy to flesh out his squad.

A number of young players have already made the step up to the senior squad this season.

Stefan Bajcetic has been a regular on the bench despite just turning 18.

He’s certainly impressed in training and will likely be awarded more minutes in Dubai.

Bajcetic has been joined in the squad by young goalkeeper Harvey Davies, who’s been called up by Klopp for this training camp.

Davies will have the chance to impress alongside Caoimhin Kelleher and Adrian as the squad gets back up to speed.

The report suggests that Davies will be brought along as back-up in the absence of Alisson Becker.

The Brazilian is currently with the Selecao as they look to win their sixth World Cup.

Once described as ‘outstanding’ by former Reds forward Neil Mellor, Davies is no stranger to the first team set-up.

Davies has previously been spotted in senior training having been called-up by Klopp before.

The number 95 is quite far down the pecking order, but a regular at under-21 level for Liverpool.

The Reds won all five of their UEFA Youth League matches with him between the sticks, losing the one game he missed.

He’s even been on the bench in the Champions League and Premier League this season.

The next logical step for Davies is a loan away from Anfield, maybe even as soon as January.

Spending time with the first team in Dubai will certainly help Davies’ future development.
