According to a report from ESPN, Jose Mourinho is keen for Tottenham Hotspur to appoint Luis Campos, with Spurs already spending £3 million for two members of Lille’s staff.
Mourinho is putting his backroom team together after being unveiled as Tottenham’s new boss on Wednesday. The Portuguese was swiftly appointed after the club confirmed the departure of Mauricio Pochettino the previous day.

And it appears that he is keen to get everyone he wants in place as soon as possible. ESPN reports that Tottenham have spent £3 million taking Nuno Santos and Joao Sacramento from Lille. And they are not the only members of staff that he is keen to bring in from the Ligue 1 side.
ESPN also suggests that he also wants the club’s sporting director Campos. The pair worked together at Real Madrid, and Campos appears to boast one of the best track records when it comes to uncovering exciting prospects.

Campos did a remarkable job at Monaco. The likes of Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Fabinho were all brought in during his time in the Principality and subsequently sold on for major profits, according to ESPN.
From the outside, it could prove to be a masterstroke to get Campos in at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. One of the most intriguing aspects of Mourinho’s appointment is the transfer policy that Spurs plan to adopt.
With plenty of fans probably feeling that an overhaul is needed at some stage in the future, it could be an incredibly smart move to land someone with such an impressive track record.
But perhaps it would not be a huge surprise if Levy was forced to use all of his negotiating skills to make sure that Mourinho gets his man.
