The Daily Mail has claimed Jose Mourinho is looking for a return to football management and is monitoring the situation at Tottenham Hotspur, as the pressure continues to mount on Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs have suffered a dismal start to the 2019-20 campaign, just months after the north Londoners reached the Champions League final. They have won just three of their eight league games, and have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
Discontent within the changing room is said to be a major factor, with the likes of Christian Eriksen openly looking to leave the club. Some pundits have suggested that Pochettino’s time in charge has gone stale, after first taking over in the summer of 2014.
Now, Mourinho is looking at the situation at Tottenham and the north London side is one of the clubs that the Portuguese boss is willing to consider, should a vacancy become available. Mourinho has been out of work since December 2018.

TBR’s view – Mourinho does not suit Tottenham
Champions League medals, Premier League triumphs and a reputation as one of the best managers ever to have graced football, Mourinho would be a coup for Spurs. But would the 56-year-old suit Tottenham?
No. Pochettino has built Spurs up from a Europa League side to being a consistent top-four side through attacking football, high press and giving his attackers freedom. Mourinho is much the opposite.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United gaffer is known for his defensive style, which would hardly suit Spurs’ current players. Mourinho is also considering Real Madrid, after rejecting a £90million move to Guangzhou Evergrande.
