CalcioMercato report that Jose Mourinho and Roma have joined Liverpool and Newcastle in the race to sign Porto’s on-fire Luis Diaz.
Diaz, 24, has been on fire this season. He had previously only scored 15 goals in 97 games for Porto – but this season, has 11 goals in 16 games.
A sensational run of form that has seen the 29-time Colombia international score twice in the Champions League. Both goals have come against Milan.
Little surprise, given he is only 24, that numerous clubs are coming in for him. Liverpool have been linked for a while, with the versatile attacker.
Since their £305million takeover, Newcastle are said to have shown interest – but it remains to be seen who they will appoint as director of football.
However, the report says they are interested – along with Liverpool. It is now claimed that Mourinho and Roma have joined the chase for Diaz.

Which is best for Diaz: Mourinho, Liverpool or Newcastle?
It is a tricky one for Diaz. Does he want to join a Champions League contender in Liverpool, but start from the bench?
Does he want to join a side under a struggling Mourinho – that is not in the Premier League and only in the Conference League in the form of Roma?
Or does he want to join an exciting new project in the form of Newcastle – but a club that could easily be relegated come the end of the season?
Right now, his best move might be Liverpool – especially with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane set to jet off in January to play in AFCON.
