James Rodriguez is making good progress towards being fit to take on Manchester United this weekend, according to reports.
The Liverpool Echo claims James Rodriguez should be fit to face Manchester United this weekend. The Colombian missed the meeting with Newcastle United this weekend because of a ‘smally injury’.

Everton haven’t made the full extent of his injury clear, however. Regardless, they’re apparently confident that he can make Saturday’s early kick off.
The player is ‘making good progress’, says the report, and while he’s not a certainty, things clearly look positive for Everton.
TBR View:
This will be a huge one for Everton. Richarlison is still suspended, of course, and while Lucas Digne will return, the team won’t be at full-strength no matter what.
But they’ll believe they can get at United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are struggling to look consistent and desperately need a string of positive results.
That should work in Everton’s favour – they’ll know that United will attack them as they search for a win. Everton can therefore use the counter to hurt their opponents, given how poorly United play when the onus is on them.
But it only works if Everton can counter effectively and they’ll need James for that. He’s the player who can make things happen in a flash and offer the creative out-ball.
If he plays, their chances of coming away from Old Trafford with three points drastically increase. Without him, they may miss a golden opportunity to continue their wonderful start.
