Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed on his official website that Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino has ‘said yes’ to Tottenham Hotspur, opening the door for a potential swap deal with Christian Eriksen.
A 41-time Uruguay cap, Vecino has been first choice for Inter Milan this season under Antonio Conte – making 17 appearances in all competitions, and scoring twice. One of those goals has come in the Champions League, against Borussia Dortmund.
The report claims that ex-Fiorentina midfielder Vecino has informed Tottenham he is open to moving to north London, and that has made a deal including both Vecino and Eriksen a possibility. Spurs have already signed a midfielder this month.
Gedson Fernandes joined the club on an 18-month loan-to-buy deal earlier this week, but Spurs could still be on the lookout. Inter signed Vecino in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £20.5million (Goal).

TBR’s view – Swapping Vecino for Eriksen would be top business
It must be remembered that Vecino, at 28, is at the peak of his powers. An established Champions League midfielder, Vecino can play as a holding midfielder, an advanced playmaker or simply as a box-to-box man.
Eriksen is set to leave, whether it is now or in the summer. So, Spurs either need to try and bring in some cash for the Dane, or swap him for a player – and landing Vecino as part of the deal would be stunning work by Daniel Levy.
