Report: Inter Milan one of three European sides interested in signing Arsenal star

Italian outlet FC Inter News have claimed that Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan are one of three European sides interested in signing Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin this summer.

Three-time Spain international Bellerin, 25, has managed just 14 appearances in all competitions for the north Londoners this season. Like a number of Arsenal players, injury has limited the former Barcelona youth player to just a handful of games.

In that time, though, he has still captained Arsenal five times this season and even scored a Premier League goal during the 2-2 draw against Chelsea. Bellerin has enormous quality, but it is whether Mikel Arteta can keep him injury free.

One of Arsenal’s longest-serving players, Bellerin could opt to leave the club – with the Spaniard only five games away from reaching a double century in an Arsenal shirt. Inter Milan lead the way, while Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are also interested.

TBR’s view – Arsenal should do everything they can to keep Bellerin

Exciting, pacy full-backs are a necessity in the modern game and Bellerin is exactly that – hence the interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides. But if Arsenal were to sell Bellerin, they would struggle to find anyone as good.

That is because, not only is Bellerin perfect for Arsenal’s style of play, but because he is Arsenal through and through. Keeping Bellerin at the club is crucial, and Arteta must make that a priority. His £110,000-a-week (Spotrac) deal expires in 2023.
