Tottenham Hotspur have been informed by Inter Milan that they are prepared to pay £11 million for Christian Eriksen.
According to Sky Sports, the Serie A giants have now submitted an official offer which also includes two payments based on performances.
The saga surrounding the Danish playmaker is a long-running one. He is out of contract in the summer when he could leave for nothing.

According to Sky in Italy, Sporting Director Piero Ausilio said: “Christian Eriksen is an important player. We have submitted an official offer and now we are waiting.”
Agent Martin Schoots is set for talks with Daniel Levy today when an update could become clearer.
Eriksen has been a revelation for Tottenham and it would be a shame to see his time end in sour fashion.
He signed in 2013 for £11.5 million (BBC) and has played 304 times for the club.
Eriksen’s performances haven’t been great this season and many supporters have grown disgruntled.
One way or another Tottenham fans want this saga to come to a close and the player could depart before the window slams shut.
TBR View – Tottenham should cash in and move on
Eriksen clearly doesn’t have his heart at the football club anymore and Spurs would be wise to move on.
Okay, the fee isn’t substantial but it would at least see them recoup something for a player who has been a loyal servant over the years.

It might sting should Eriksen move on but the when the dust settles Tottenham fans should be thankful for his efforts.
The Dane was instrumental in helping the club to a Champions League Final last season and that should be remembered.
Jose Mourinho will want to strengthen his squad and cashing in on Eriksen should see his budget increased.
