Hull City have an option to sign Josh Bowler permanently, according to The Hull Daily Mail.
Everton loaned Bowler to Hull for the 2019/20 season but there is a clause to keep him at The KCOM Stadium. Hull would have to cough up £5m to sign the young winger, though.
Hull also have the option to sign Matthew Pennington. The Everton defender joined alongside Bowler in the summer but has been limited to just 17 minutes of action this season.
Bowler gets off the mark

Bowler joined Hull with a high reputation after lighting up the Premier League 2 last season. The former Queens Park Rangers winger provided goals, assists and excitement for David Unsworth’s U23 team, who won the youth title.
But with first-team chances limited at Goodison Park, he headed to Hull on loan. It was a slow start for Bowler, who found himself behind Kamil Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen in the pecking order.
However, the 20-year-old has now wrestled his way into the starting line-up and justified Grant McCann’s interest. He scored his first goal last weekend and will hope to build on this.
TBR’s view
Despite Hull having an option to sign Bowler, his future remains in the balance. Next summer, he will be 21 and both Everton and Hull will need to make decisions about him.
£5m is a hefty price and he has not done enough to justify the Tigers spending this (yet). If he does continue to impress for Hull, though, perhaps Everton might like to keep him and use him.
