Tottenham Hotspur’s players apparently feel no resentment towards Harry Kane despite his recent actions, the Athletic report.

No ill feeling

Kane has stayed away from Tottenham training and it has emerged that he plans to remain at home, amid interest from Manchester City.

Kane has communicated a desire to leave Tottenham and join City this summer.

His recent actions have angered many supporters, who feel that his stance is disrespectful.

But Tottenham’s players apparently weren’t particularly shocked when Kane didn’t turn up to training.

And the Athletic say that they generally understand Kane’s reasoning behind wanting to leave.

Tottenham supporters too, have been fairly understanding over their star man’s desire to depart up until this point.

The need to win trophies

There is a recognition that a player of Kane’s quality deserves the opportunity to win trophies, and Spurs aren’t in the same position to dominate English football like City are.

However, his most recent actions of skipping training have not gone down well with a Spurs fan base, who have cherished the striker throughout his career.

And it will now be extremely interesting to see how Daniel Levy reacts over the coming weeks, with quite the battle unfolding at Tottenham now.
