Tottenham are still seething behind the scenes about Arsenal pushing for the North London Derby postponement back in January, according to a report from The Sun.
Towards the end of January marked when the two sides were set to meet. However, the game was called off at the request of the Gunners. They argued that they were unable to put a team out for the fixture.

There have been plenty of occasions when teams have been able to have games called off this season. When squads have been heavily affected by Covid-19, the Premier League has allowed fixtures to be rescheduled.
But January’s postponement felt slightly different. As noted by The Sun, Martin Odegaard was the only player in the Arsenal squad to test positive. Instead, other factors largely disrupted Mikel Arteta’s plans. They had players injured, suspended and away on international duty.

At the time, Arsenal were struggling. They played five games in January, drawing two and losing three. Meanwhile, the only team Tottenham had lost to since the end of November was Chelsea. So Spurs felt particularly aggrieved about the postponement.
And it seems that the frustration still lingers. The Sun reports that Tottenham’s players are still seething about the situation.
Tottenham are still seething about the North London Derby postponement
Tottenham will feel that the best revenge that they can get involves beating Arsenal to fourth. But right now, that is looking set to be a difficult task. Antonio Conte’s men are currently four points behind.
Arsenal will argue that they did nothing wrong. And in many respects, the Premier League should be bearing the brunt of the frustration.
But it did seem the wrong decision to allow the game to be called off. They apparently had just one positive case in their squad.
Certainly, many Tottenham fans will not forget that decision if Arsenal end up finishing fourth by the smallest of margins.
