Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte gave an interview to Sky Sport Italia this week in which he provided an honest assessment about Spurs.
Conte talked about coming to grips with Tottenham’s vision, in which the club looks to sign young players they can develop as opposed to experienced, “ready” players.
The Tottenham boss also said Spurs are now “one of the many teams that are in the middle” of the Premier League and need “to work a lot”.

Conte admitted his task at Spurs is a “totally different situation” compared to his previous roles “in terms of perspectives, ambitions and in terms of fighting to win”.
During the interview – as transcribed by football.london – Conte also touched upon how some may have thought that Tottenham were “weakened” during the January transfer window.
This is after four first-team players left N17 and two – Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski – came in.
He also called for “a lot of patience” in getting Tottenham back to the top.
The initial snippets released on Wednesday night seemed somewhat alarming, but in the full transcript, Conte said he’s “certainly happy” at Spurs.
And according to football.london, the relationship between Conte and the club is not believed to be strained amid his interview.
However, the outlet went on to claim that “it’s not hard to see the many ways in which it could become so.”
Conte is one of the world’s best coaches, a manager who has never been shy in making his feelings known regarding what a club needs for him to deliver success.
The summer window will prove absolutely crucial for Tottenham. The club is in need of major surgery and Conte will want to ensure the right players come in to achieve success.
