Report hints Tottenham could eye 'incredible' £50m PL star this summer
A report from Sky Sports has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur could be amongst the clubs who target a move for Yves Bissouma in the summer, with Spurs said to be looking for a player of his profile.
Bissouma is attracting a lot of attention this month. It was recently reported that both Aston Villa and Newcastle are keen to lure him away from Brighton.
Unsurprisingly, the Seagulls do not want to lose the Mali international. And they would want around £50 million before they consider letting him leave.
Sky Sports also claims that his asking price could be as high as £50 million. Bissouma is open to considering joining Villa should they make a move this month.
However, Bissouma is apparently wanted by a number of teams higher up the league. And with that, he may wait until the summer before targeting a move away from the Amex Stadium.
Sky Sports claims that the current top three, as well as Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are all looking for a player of his profile.
Yves Bissouma could be an ‘incredible’ signing for Tottenham, should they make summer move
Bissouma has established himself as one of the most impressive midfielders in the Premier League. So it is no surprise that he has been spoken about as a £50 million footballer, or that the league’s heavyweights may all be eyeing a move.
Graham Potter has previously spoken of his ‘incredible‘ potential.
Only five players have won more tackles in the Premier League this term, according to FB Ref. But he is also the one frequently driving Brighton up the pitch with his dribbling.
Tottenham do need more quality in the middle. Oliver Skipp has been extremely bright. And Harry Winks has shown some positive signs under Conte. But Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has struggled to find his best form.
Bissouma would certainly be an upgrade on the options they have. So it would make all the sense in the world to many if Tottenham do indeed make a move this summer.
