Tottenham Hotspur loanee Gareth Bale still aspires to earn another chance at Real Madrid, according to a report from Spanish outlet AS.
Bale has had a mixed time since returning to North London in the summer. Of course, few expected the Welshman to hit the ground running immediately. But it is probably still fair to say that he has, so far, been an underwhelming addition.

There have been glimpses of his quality. But he has only made one Premier League start since his return. And it now appears that he is keeping his options open heading into next year.
According to AS, Bale wants to finish his Madrid career on a positive note. And it is suggested that he is keeping an eye on events from the Bernabeu.

AS notes that much is likely to depend on what the future holds for Zinedine Zidane.
So it would appear that the Frenchman would need to be out of the picture for Bale to get another opportunity in the Spanish capital.
AS claims that Madrid would welcome the chance to offload Bale next year as they look to reduce their expenditure.
TBR View: Spurs coping fine without Bale playing prominent role
Tottenham are in a strong position right now. Any Premier League squad would be better off with Bale in it. But Jose Mourinho has not needed to put a lot of faith in the forward so far.
That is not to say that Bale will not have an important role to play at some stage during his loan. He still has the kind of magic up his sleeve that could make a massive difference should Spurs remain in the title picture.
But it certainly says a lot about how far they have come that they have not yet been able to hand Bale a more prominent role.
And the onus is arguably on the player to now prove that the speculation surrounding his future is a bigger blow to Spurs than it currently seems.
