Sports Mole have claimed in an exclusive that Serie A side Hellas Verona have made a loan-to-buy offer for Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth, as the Italian side look to strengthen their push for European qualification.
Foyth, 22, is said to be somewhat frustrated having broken into the side under Mauricio Pochettino – only for the arrival of Jose Mourinho to have limited his game time. He has failed to make the matchday squad for the last four league games.
The rise of Japhet Tanganga, as well as a new deal for Toby Alderweireld has pushed Foyth down the pecking order. According to The Telegraph, Foyth is keen on a loan move away from Spurs and is likely to gain regular game time at Verona.
Verona sit in a lofty ninth place after promotion from Serie B, just two points off the top six. They have made contact with Daniel Levy over a move, which is believed to be a loan until the summer and a permanent clause of £8.4million.

TBR’s view – Levy has got to ask for a bigger permanent clause
Foyth, who has clocked up 32 senior appearances for Tottenham and boasts Argentina caps, has struggled this season but there are signs that he has all the tools to become a top defender. To sell him permanently for £8.4million, then, is a mistake
Spurs signed Foyth themselves for £8million and they should be looking for a much more substantial figure if they are to let the former Estudiantes defender leave on a permanent basis in the summer.
