Bayer Leverkusen have joined the list of clubs said to be interested in taking advantage of Hector Bellerin’s seemingly uncertain future at Arsenal.
The Gunners full-back has been linked with a potential exit from The Emirates this summer with it suggested the Spaniard is looking for a new challenge. ESPN claimed that Belerin would consider his future if he felt the club were not being ambitious about the future.
That news has seen the likes of Bayern Munich, PSG and Juventus mentioned as keen but Leverkusen were clearly hopeful that Bellerin might solve their current right-back issue.
According to Fussball Transfers, Bellerin was even open to the idea of joining the ambitious German side. However, the same report also states that Leverkusen are unlikely to get a deal done.

The report suggests that Bellerin’s current wages would simply be out of Die Werkself’s salary structure.
Of course, Leverkusen are currently flush with cash after the big-money sales of Kai Havertz to Chelsea and Kevin Volland to Monaco.
However, Bellerin reportedly (Independent) signed a £100,000-a-week deal when he extended his contract at Arsenal in 2016 and Leverkusen are not prepared to match that amount.
Arsenal will surely be hoping that Bellerin sticks around, considering his apparent influence in the squad and what he brings to the team at right-back.
It certainly appears as though a move to Leverkusen is no longer a possibility for the Spaniard and Gunners fans will hope he ends up sticking around.
