Report: Hector Bellerin could leave Arsenal with club considering sale

Arsenal could consider selling Hector Bellerin this summer if it will generate sufficient funds for the club.

That is according to a report from The Telegraph, who suggest that the Spanish right-back ‘may leave’ Arsenal after nine years at The Emirates Stadium if the Gunners receive a significant bid.

The report also makes it clear that Arsenal no longer expect to demand a £50 million fee for the player, which they might have once commanded before injuries damaged the Spaniard’s progress.

The report names several teams as potentially being interested in the player. Sevilla, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are the teams named as potential buyers for the Arsenal star.

Arsenal also have Cedric Soares and Ainsley Maitland-Niles as potential right-back options, which could make Bellerin expendable at the right price.

Arsenal need to win the FA Cup in order to make the Europa League and are also facing a tight transfer budget to improve other areas of the team for manager Mikel Arteta.

Earlier this month a report from Sky Germany suggested that Bellerin had informed them of a desire to potentially leave Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal fans would no doubt be disappointed to see Bellerin leave the club, as he is such a long-serving member of the team.

But perhaps, if it meant Arsenal could bring in some new faces, then the fans could understand a sale involving the Spaniard.
