Liverpool look set to confirm Harvey Elliott’s new contract at the club next month, according to reports.
The Mirror is suggesting that Elliott will be signing a professional deal at the club at the beginning of July and will then be given a chance to win a Premier League medal by featuring in the final games of the season.
The 17-year-old only celebrated his birthday in April and has therefore been unable to secure his first pro deal.
The report claims that the Premier League’s youngest-ever player will sign on the dotted line of a three-year deal at Anfield. That can then be extended by a further two years when he turns 18 next April.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo earlier this year, Elliott would have already signed the professional deal in April had it not been for the global health crisis and the resultant lockdown.
The winger, according to a report from The Times, is set to cost Liverpool around £7 million in compensation after his arrival from Fulham.
With Liverpool set to be spending little this summer, Elliott may find himself with an increasingly important first-team role at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp, who called the teenager an ‘exceptional talent’ (Echo) in October last year.
So news of this new deal will have Liverpool fans excited about the future with this teenage talent.
