Harry Winks could reportedly consider his Tottenham future in the New Year if he continues to struggle for minutes.
According to the Telegraph, the 24-year-old may look at his circumstances in the January transfer window if his recent lack of game time continues.
The England international hasn’t started in the Premier League since September and the arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has seen him slip down the pecking order under manager Jose Mourinho.
Winks, who is a product of the club’s academy, is a deep-lying central midfielder that is great on the ball and has a wide range of passing.
The Sun reported back in August during the summer window that Manchester City were lining up a move for him and Spurs would allow him to depart if a bid arrived in excess of £40million.

TBR’s View:
It’s certainly a bump in the road for Winks right now, but he earned his spot in England’s squad during the current international break despite not being a nailed-on starter for Spurs and is still a relatively young player yet to reach his peak.
The ball-playing midfielder has made nine appearances across all competitions so far this season for his club and Mourinho is forced to rotate due to the sheer amount of fixtures domestically and in Europe.
There is plenty of competition in the centre of the park at Spurs, but for now Winks should continue fighting for his spot as he’s got the qualities to break into the best xI and offer a nice balance in midfield.
