According to Spanish outlet AS, Harry Winks is the number one target for La Liga outfit Valencia, who are currently managed by Javi Gracia.
The report claims that Winks is top of the pile of targets for the club and it’s former Watford boss Gracia, who will be well aware of Winks from his time in the Premier League.

Winks has been in and around the squad under Jose Mourinho despite not being a regular starter and played well in the 3-0 win over Leeds United just this weekend. However, the England man is thought to be considering his future, with his hopes of a place in the Euros squad for the summer currently under threat.
The 24-year-old is said to earn around £50k-a-week with Spurs and Valencia are believed to favour a short-term loan deal.

Spurs, though, are believed to be keen on keeping Winks around unless a suitable replacement can be found, especially with doubts over the futures of other players, such as Dele Alli.

And that’s the issue Winks will face all January unfortunately, even if he does fancy the switch himself.
A move to Spain wouldn’t do him any harm and it would give him the chance to get some much needed football and experience a new culture which is suited to his game, in terms of playing styles.
Winks is good enough for England but he knows he won’t be picked if he’s not playing. Valencia, then, could be a smart option for him.
