Harry Kane has reportedly accepted that Tottenham Hotspur will not be selling him this summer.

That is according to a report from The Telegraph, which suggests Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will not be selling players to help the club through troubled financial times caused by the global health crisis.

That includes prized assets such as Dele Alli and Heung-min Son, but Kane is also on that list.

The report goes on to claim that Kane is believed to be ‘understanding’ of Tottenham’s stance and will be ready to stay at the club during the next transfer window.

Prior to the global health crisis taking its full grip on the UK, it appeared that Kane was angling for an exit from Tottenham.

It was reported at the start of March by The Telegraph that Kane was potentially looking to leave Tottenham this summer and that Spurs would want £150 million for the England captain.

Kane later told Sky Sports (as relayed by ESPN) that he could consider his future at Tottenham if they did not start challenging for trophies soon.

“I’ll always love Spurs, but it’s one of them things. I’ve always said if I don’t feel like we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I’m not someone to stay there just for the sake of it.

“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve and become better. I want to become a top, top player, so it all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team.

“So, it’s not a definite ‘I’m going to stay there forever’ but it’s not a no either.”

However, it now appears clear that Kane is willing to stay at Tottenham for next season and Spurs fans will hope they can challenge for titles again in 2020-21.

The future of their star striker might depend on it.
