Hakim Ziyech is Tottenham Hotspur’s first choice to replace Christian Eriksen.
According to 90min, Tottenham have drawn up a four-man shortlist to replace Eriksen. Ziyech is the main target to replace the Denmark midfielder but there are three others.
Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bruno Fernandes and Brais Mendez are the other three midfield playmakers on the list. With Eriksen’s exit looking inevitable, Tottenham are planning in advance to find a successor.
Ajax star Ziyech is the top choice. The Morocco international once again reminded everyone what he can do when he starred against Chelsea in the Champions League. With six goals and 15 assists to his name this season, it is clear that the 26-year-old is a top creative talent.
Roma and Italy star Pellegrini is another option. The 23-year-old has provided four assists in just six Serie A appearances this season. Celta Vigo’s Mendez is another option but he is yet to score or provide an assist in 2019/20.
Bruno Fernandes came close to joining Tottenham in the summer and he is back on their wishlist. The 25-year-old has scored nine and provided six assists this season for Sporting Lisbon.
Ziyech would be an exciting signing for Spurs. He is the marquee addition that would bring a good spirit back to the club – if they can convince him to leave high-flying Ajax.
Mendez would be a risk but he is only 22 and is a talent for the future. Fernandes looks like another promising target and Pellegrini’s talent is well-known in Italy.
