Report: Granit Xhaka due back for Arsenal in early 2022
Arsenal have been handed a boost of sorts with the update from the club today that Granit Xhaka will return to the fold in the early part of 2022.
Xhaka picked up serious looking injury just a few weeks ago and has been missing from action ever since. At the time, it was reported Xhaka would be missing for at least a few months.
It goes on to say that the ‘current aim’ is for Xhaka to be partaking in full training early in the new year. That, of course, would be a nice boost to the squad for Mikel Arteta. And all being well, ensures the Gunners boss doesn’t need to delve into the January market either.
Arsenal face Crystal Palace tonight as they look to continue their fine form of recent weeks. Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will be looking for a fourth clean-sheet from five.
TBR’s View: Xhaka being back for Arsenal a bonus for Arteta
No matter what some say about Xhaka, he is a vital component of this Arsenal squad and a key player.
His return in January, then, is a boost for Arsenal. He provides quality and experience in the middle of the park in what will be a crucial period of the season.
January is always a make or break time for clubs. Games come thick and fast. Therefore, having everyone available is the best thing for all clubs.
