It is a move that has kept Tottenham fans on tenterhooks throughout the entire summer. Now, they will finally get their wish, as Giovani Lo Celso is undergoing a medical at Spurs – according to the Telegraph (Thursday, 9.35am).
The 23-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to Spurs throughout the entire window after a stunning 2018-19 campaign with Real Betis. Disputes over a fee have been the major obstacle over a move.
But on Wednesday, the Evening Standard claimed Spurs had agreed a £55million fee for the former Paris Saint-Germain playmaker – who scored 16 goals and laid on six assists last season in 46 outings for Betis.

Still young, Lo Celso joins what is already a large contingent of Argentine players and coaches at Spurs. Paulo Gazzaniga, Juan Foyth and Erik Lamela are currently at the club, along with Mauricio Pochettino and his staff.
Now, a move for Lo Celso is now set to be announced as the attacker undergoes a medical at Tottenham. He could be one of three new signings arriving at Tottenham this summer.
Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala could be on his way to Spurs with talks said to be progressing, while Ryan Sessegnon is also set to move to north London from Fulham – who are managed by former Spurs star Scott Parker.
