According to reports this weekend from Scotland, new Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard will look to bring Glen Kamara with him to the Premier League.
The Daily Record claims that Gerrard is a big fan of Kamara and out of all the Rangers players, he is the one who is most likely to be sought after by the new Villa boss.
Gerrard used Kamara considerably during his time at Ibrox. The Finland star was a key midfielder, and impressed Gerrard both on and off the pitch at times.

Indeed, it was back in 2019 when Gerrard referred to Kamara as a ‘class act’ following a win at Kilmarnock.
“I obviously knew the player and what you saw against Kilmarnock is why we wanted to bring him in this summer. Thankfully we’ve been able to bring him in early,” Gerrard told Sky Sports.
“He was a class act the other night, I thought he was superb from start to finish. Without Alfredo’s goals he would certainly have been man of the match.”
Gerrard left Rangers this week after emerging as the clear favourite for the Villa board’s search for a Dean Smith successor. He is expected to be backed in January, with a number of Rangers players thought to be of interest.
TBR’s View: Kamara ready-made for Aston Villa and Gerrard
There might be more eye-catching players in the Rangers squad like Kent, Morelos, and Tavernier. But it’s Glen Kamara who is the glue.
The midfielder is tailor-made for the Premier League. He just needs to be given the chance to prove himself at that level.
On the plus side for Rangers, Kamara is contracted until 2025. That gives them a strong hand and means they can demand a nice chunk of change from Villa, should Gerrard swoop.
Certainly, he’s a player who would slot nicely into the Villa XI.
