RB Leipzig are reportedly keen to take Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe on loan again.

According to football.london, the Bundesliga side are ready to put an offer to the Gunners once again for the temporary services of the 18-year-old.

Smith Rowe spent the second half of 2018/19 on loan at Leipzig, but barely featured as a result of a groin injury.

He made just three appearances totalling 28 minutes of actual pitch time, but Leipzig have seemingly not been put off by the failed stint.

The starlet was given a handful of appearances by Unai Emery in the first half of the season, and he caught the eye in the Europa League, scoring two goals.

TBR’s view

Smith Rowe heading back to Leipzig for a full season would be a good move.

The German top-flight has proven to be a great environment for young English players in recent times.

Smith Rowe was very unfortunate with his injury problems, but he should not think twice about heading back to Leipzig.

At Arsenal the competition is strong. Smith Rowe has Mesut Ozil in front of him, and Joe Willock has also now come into the picture.

Arguably Willock is more advanced than Smith Rowe at the moment and perhaps he is the youngster for Emery to trust while the former gets some vital game time.
