Report: Garang Kuol has already agreed terms with Newcastle
Reports earlier this month claimed that the Magpies were looking to land the teenager, who has scored four goals in 10 appearances for Central Coast Mariners.
And it appears that the news is very good for Eddie Howe’s men. According to 90min, Kuol is heading for Europe in the winter after agreeing terms with Newcastle.
The Premier League side have seen off interest from a number of clubs, with Borussia Dortmund amongst Kuol’s admirers.
Terms are already agreed. And Newcastle have a plan in place in case Kuol does not initially qualify for a work permit. However, 90min notes that situation could change if the forward features at the World Cup for Australia.
Kuol has agreed Newcastle terms
It definitely does appear that it is a coup for Newcastle to find themselves on the brink of a deal for Kuol. Borussia Dortmund’s presence in the race certainly says something about his potential.
Magpies fans have had little to smile about when it comes to academy prospects coming through in the last few years. But it does appear that the new owners want to see greater success on that front.
Kuol may not spend much time in the youth ranks on Tyneside if he is loaned out. But supporters absolutely love seeing any young player grow in their side.
Newcastle have been incredibly pragmatic in the window since the takeover. They have certainly not splashed the cash in the way in which many expected.
But the business they have done has been extremely exciting. And a deal for the ‘unbelievable‘ Kuol has the potential to be yet another inspired move.
