Galatasaray want to sign a new striker before the end of the transfer window and it could impact on Rangers’ plans. Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and Gers target Moussa Konate are two strikers on Galatsaray’s wishlist, according to Aksam.
The Turkish heavyweights are aiming for another successful season after winning the Super Lig last year. Fatih Terim is hoping to bolster his strikeforce before the European window slams shut next week.
Radamel Falcao is the top target but Galatasaray have two ‘plan B’ options in Morelos and Konate. They could either steal Rangers’ top striker or win the race for Steven Gerrard’s number one striker target.

Morelos, 23, already has nine goals in 10 games this season. With 57 goals in 101 Rangers appearances in total, it is no surprise to see the Colombian linked with a move. Konate, on the other hand, is seen as a potential replacement if Morelos leaves.
Gerrard has ruled out a move for the Senegal striker for now (Scottish Sun). But it is thought that the 26-year-old, who has scored 21 in 65 for Amiens, would be a target if Morelos goes.
TBR’s view
Rangers must try to hold onto Morelos at this stage of the transfer window because there is not enough time to find a suitable replacement. While Jermain Defoe is performing well, he needs some competition up front and Morelos is still the number one striker.
It is not easy to replace the goals provided by El Bufalo. Rangers need to hope that Falcao completes his move to Galatasaray. And if not, they should let them take Konate.
